Here at ACCIONA we’re convinced that Sustainability is a key factor in the equation for a better tomorrow. And the sooner we start teaching our children about the issues at stake, the sooner we’ll come up with the best possible solutions.
That’s why we’ve designed the ACCIONA Sustainability Workshop, an education program aimed at 10-16 year-olds, featuring a sweeping range of materials and resources to help communities achieve excellent levels of sustainability.
The Sustainability Workshop sets out to contribute to Education for Sustainable Development and stems from ACCIONA’s Corporate Responsible policy which, in turn, is fully-aligned with the UN’s declaration of 2005-2014 as Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.
The Sustainability Workshop – based on a similar initiative that started out in Spain – has been extended to cover a wide range of sustainability topics and issues and has broadened its geographical scope to take in countries where ACCIONA operates, such as Spain, Canada, the US, Australia, Mexico and Chile, among others.
Thanks to the Sustainability Workshop, children and young people in many countries will gain a better understanding of the problems that lie ahead, and they will become “junior experts” in fields such as energy, water, sustainable construction and innovation.
Do you know anyone who’s taken part in previous ACCIONA Sustainability Workshops? We’d love to know how they got on.
